A natural rejuvenation zone, away from gun ranges, emergency calls, and demanding lives, could provide the setting for nature-based therapy - - a safe area where those who struggle to reconnect could benefit from nature’s ability to heal.

Studies have shown that being “in the moment” is key to relieving anxiety and the negative effects of stress. Being present in a safe, quiet, natural space can afford the opportunity to experience the awe of the natural world. The fleeting glimpse of a deer moving through the forest or a dragonfly perched on a twig requires you to be present and focused. Come experience what that is like.

Nature-based healing can be active or passive, or a combination of the two. Studies have shown that nature-based therapy has real benefits for those dealing with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, anxiety, and depression.

Nature is known to have many healing properties, including for helping heal the human mind and spirit.
